Lots of visitors complained about the loading time of the Plushies section. They were right because I used both thumbnails and my Java viewer. That produced incredibly long loading times. I now use a JavaScript function that uses dynamic HTML to update the HTML code with the large picture whenever one clicks on the corresponding thumbnail. Hope that helps. |

I added a password proteced direct link to my

Additionally I added a direct download of my PGP key files.
It is not required to cut and paste from a HTML page anymore.
Google now is able to search for newsgroups posting from 1995 on. They fully integrated the deja database now. Congratulations! Again I added new records to the Music section. |

Hopefully it is finished now and that I
didn't add too many other typical german failures
trying to write english texts in the meantime.
An additional hyperlink for tropical diseases has been added to the

hyperlinks.
By the way: these pages now got more the 40000 visitors
(excluding myself of course) from all over the world.

who told me that he's got problems to display my pages I've now
added additional attributes to the body tag. It seems that some older
browsers have got problems to process CSS correctly, so that

I added the "Vereinsnachrichten" to
Khejri.
This is a hell of a job. Unfortunately I forgot to scan the
second pages of some of the "news". They will be scanned later.
The "Bilder" are now presented as seperate HTML files instead
of pure JPG files. This enables me to define the background color
for an image.
This week we've got close to 700 loads of the Khejri page,
and a total of more than 5000 accesses from all over the world
to the rest of my pages.
I want to welcome Canada, USA, Portugal, Norway and
people from Denmark.

I've tested the new
Opera
5.0 Browser and found that
it has difficulties to correctly overwrite
CSS with HTML font definitions. I changed my web page
to refect this fact.
Nevertheless it is one of the best browsers that I've ever
seen.

meta tags with author, keywords and description.

The travel part has been extended not only to include some
hyperlinks but information about my equipment and experiences with
it. Now it is more what I planned it to be. The photograph part has
been proofread.
Technically there were some changes. I moved the advertisment
to the bottom instead of the top. Now it is displayed
at the end of the page instead of the top
(if it is displayed at all).

I added my experience with broken cameras and lenses to the
photography part. Additionally the bags section is increased by the
new camera bag I bought in Cape Town.

I returned from my holidays in South Africa. In Africa I had the
chance to take a look at my web page using an
old Power Mac running Netscape 4.0 ... brrr.
I had to do something and so I did. Filenames were wrong (and some of them still are) but I hope I fixed at least some of them. In the next few weeks I'll be busy developing the slides I took in Africa. |

I received the documents and slides via snail mail. I hurried up to
include the text in the Khejri web design. Khejri can now be reached via
http://khejri.juergenkeil.de.
I still have to review the slides and let them scan. Mrs. Jansen
left to India for two month. Hope Mr. Jansen can check this page and tell
me what he likes or doesn't like. I desperately need tips for improvement.

Again lot's of people seem to use the Navigator 4.x. I checked the
latest "official" release 4.75. Except for zero-width
frames it seems to work.
I changed the CSS font sizes from point to pixels. It seems that some
browsers have problems calculating the correct size.

I created a new entry for KHEJRI a non profit organization working
on a hospital in India. This is a project initiated by my
girlfriends aunt Mrs. Jansen. I decided to support this project by
designing its web presentation. I hope this will become a web
success and the project can benefit from its web enabling.
